Members of parliament today beat a hasty retreat after attempting to mutilate the constitution by introducing a raft of amendments which would have watered down the laws that bar Kenyans without university degrees from contesting the election…the mps however forced amendments to allow failed presidential candidates to be nominated to parliament by their political parties---and now mps can also hop from one party to another without resigning from their seats…Ktn’s senior reporter Aaron Ochieng’ with the details
