KTN Prime: Sugarcane workers strike

The Kenya union of sugar plantation workers has issued a 14-day strike notice to the chief executives of Nzoia, Chemelil, Muhoroni and Sony sugar companies’ union general secretary Francis Wangara says the managers of the firms are undermining the terms of a collective bargaining agreement signed between the two parties under the auspices of the Kenya sugar board The job evaluation agreement reached between the two parties would have seen improvement of terms for workers in the sector
