From the most controversial stars in town to the bad-boys of showbiz, the gospel crowd and even the happily-married, ESTHER MUCHENE gets celebrities to reveal their crushes like never told before

Given a chance, X-tatic, the gorgeous ‘Wild’ hit-maker would take President Uhuru Kenyatta out for a date. It might sound a far-fetched ambition but how often do we fantasise, wishing we would get a chance, or would have gotten a chance to date someone, some far out of our reach.

Just like anyone else, our celebs have crushes too, some on fellow stars who apparently have someone else on their wish list in this emotional web. Some of them are bizarre, others laughable and others still, unimaginable.

Kristoff: Hip-hop artiste

I would date Miss Mandi. I can’t date a chic in the limelight, but if I could I would date her. She’s my friend. She’s hot and I like her style. Let’s just say she has what it takes to date Kristoff.

Eric Omondi: Comedian

Angela Angwenyi, any day. I’ve always had a huge crush on her and I’ve even told her this openly. I find her very chilled out. I like her African style and her personality. My goodness, have you seen her beautiful eyes, her smile and... You know what else! Oh my goodness!

X-tatic: Female rapper

I would date President Uhuru Kenyatta because he’s different. He is youthful and vibrant in whatever he does. I know he’s married but kudos to him for the great work he is doing. What a great president we have.

Shish: Actress and producer

I would date Mufasa the poet because he’s really cool and calm. He is also very honest.

Khaligraph: Hip-hop artiste

I have this hard crush on radio girl Sheila Mwanyigah. I’ve been following up on this chic since I was a kid. She just has it. She is dead gorgeous and she’s well presented. Did you see that Vaseline billboard? I’ve checked her out and I was quite impressed. That mama is very interesting. I like her.

DNA: Musician

I’m married but Catherine Kasavuli has always been my crush. She’s graceful, hot, smart and all. At the same time, I would say Caroline Mutoko is the other in-the-spotlight lady I would date because she’s so strong; her character and personality. I find that attractive.

Mejja: Rapper

I would date KTN presenter Doreen Biira any time. She just amuses me with her beauty and character. When I look at her on TV she just looks humble and informed with a lot of confidence to crown it all. She is the kind of chic I can have a conversation with. I cannot wait to take her out; some day.

Marya: Artiste

I would go for TV presenter Larry Madowo because I find him interesting and he dresses really cool. At the same time he is dark skinned and that is something that turns me on. The darker the berry... (laughs).

Kagwe Mungai: Artiste, actor and producer

Radio host Anita Nderu, Miss Mandi and Ann Kiguta are real hot. They are my type. I know the two radio hosts, Anita and Miss Mandi, personally but I don’t know Ann personally. If and when an opportunity shows up, I will rise to the occasion.

Ian Mugoya: TV talk show presenter

The number one celebrity hottie whom I would date is Smirti Vidyarthi of NTV. I like her fashion sense. I also like her voice and overall presentation and I think she has character. If she gives me a chance to know her better, I would grab it.

Mike Makori: TV talk show presenter

I would date Sanaipei Tande. She’s comes off as a mature and chilled out woman. I like how she carries herself and I find her attractive.

Bahati: Gospel artiste

You want to know who I would date? Well, my heart beats for DJ Pierra. I can’t give you the reasons why here but all I can say is she’s cool and down-to-earth despite her achievements. She has a good heart too.

DJ Kalonje

Avril any time; day or night! She is hot and her eyes are real sexy. Besides her beauty, she is down-to-earth. She’s my type. I know she has a South African guy but given the chance, I would run away with her.

Anto-Neo-Soul: Artiste

I really have a thing for actress Brenda Wairimu. I can hardly hide it. She’s very hot and she’s my type. Considering my height, I think walking with her I’d feel taller because of her size. We are friends but I wouldn’t mind her as a wife (laughing). Probably this is a wake-up call!

David of Lectronica: Producer and DJ

I would date Bridget Shighadi. Haven’t you seen her photos? She’s so pretty. She’s the ideal woman for me. Brenda Wairimu looks like she’s got it; body wise, colour and all... She’s very attractive. Those are my kind of women. Can someone broker the deal?

Adelle: Radio host, singer and poet

I would date Bien Aimé of Sauti Sol because he’s very cool. For now, we are close friends and he’s in the brother zone. Mashariki Mix’s host Nick Mutuma is also a cool chap. Then there is the TV hunk Mark Maasai... he is so hot, I can’t even hide the fact that he gets me so smitten. I would also date Kagwe Mungai because he is such a creative.

Chipukeezy: Comedian

Mama Kayai of Vitimbi is my go-to kind of a lady...No, just kidding, but I respect her a lot! Comedian Awinja is on my to-do list. Same as Avril! Avril has a very special place in my heart. If it takes a Mercedes Benz to win her over, I will buy one. Given a chance, I would do something like take her for swimming. If I would buy her something I would get her a bra because I am unique. I do things guys can’t do. I would actually buy her a yellow ‘Like A Boss’ sweatshirt so she can look like a boss with a boss (laughs).

Anita Nderu: Radio show presenter

I wouldn’t date anyone. I am a hopeless romantic. But if I could I would date Lenana because he’s so cute and sweet. He’s very calm. He doesn’t seem extremely complicated. He looks cool with no drama. I would take him for sky-diving (laughs).

Dee: Gospel rapper

Date a celeb? No... no one. But I must compliment Brian of Elani for his humility. The few times we have  met randomly he appeared to be humble; from his speech to the way he carries himself.

Rabbit: Hip hop artiste and producer

If Lupita Nyong’o gave me a chance to express my love for her, I wouldn’t mind. She is a great achiever who is very humble.

Kenrazy: Rapper

I would (still) date rapper Sosuun because of her looks and the way she raps. Plus, she’s the one person who understands me. No one else can match. My heart and eyes have decided it has to be her.

Joyce Maina: Actress

I would give a chance to actor Lenana Kariba because I think he is a nice guy and he’s a talented actor.

Moustapha: Music  artiste

The President’s daughter Ngina Kenyatta fascinates me. She looks like a good chilled out girl when you look at her and I like girls who are like that. She comes from the most powerful family in the land yet she humbles herself and interacts with people as if she is not the President’s daughter. That is so attractive. I’ve never met her but she looks focused and down-to-earth.

Hopekid: Gospel artiste

I would date DJ Pierra. Though I’ve never met her, I just see her on Instagram. She’s the only secular female DJ who works hard and I like that. Kenyans should appreciate her more and personally, I would love to meet her.
