French smartphone Wiko lands in Kenya

NAIROBI: French phone manufacturer Wiko has released its range of phones into the Kenyan retail market.

This comes after the company recently announced its plans of entering into the lucrative Kenyan smartphone market last month. Kenyan consumers will be among the first in Africa to enjoy the French brand that has become a phenomenal success story across Europe.

Wiko smartphones will now be available in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Kericho, Thika and other key towns across Kenya.

Kenya is one of the key target markets eyed by the smartphone manufacturer. Wiko Country Manager John Mutwiri said the company is making plans to work with local mobile network carriers on promotions that would be highly beneficial to the consumer.
