Kisii County Governor James Ongwae (above) has exuded confidence he will recapture his seat in next year's elections.
"My development record speaks for itself and I am ready for any challenge in 2017," Ongwae said, adding he had performed well.
The governor, who was speaking at Gusii Stadium on Tuesday when he launched a Sh240 million bursary fund, told off critics whom he said have not done anything to better the lives of residents.
"Noise will not stop me from doing my work. I will continue initiating development projects in the county," he said.
