Are you looking for a natural oil that's rich in antioxidants and affordable? One that will leave your complexion glowing? This oil is like a multivitamin for your skin, as it is rich in vitamin A, C, E, and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.

Look no further than rosehip oil which is readily available in health food shops. Use it twice a day and watch the transformation.

What Rosehip oil does to you skin

EFAs - Your body needs essential fats which must be obtained externally through food or supplementation. When essential fatty acids (EFAs) are applied topically, there are numerous benefits for the skin. EFAs waterproof your skin creating a barrier against the elements.

This helps keep your skin moist by minimizing water loss. EFAs also increase collagen production which improves the firmness and texture of the skin. Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids reduce inflammation thereby minimizing skin problems such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Vitamin A – applying vitamins topically helps to deliver maximum anti-aging benefits. Vitamin A is known to reduce wrinkles and roughness, and fade scars.

Vitamin E – eases dryness by helping the skin retain its natural moisture. It's antioxidant properties give it the ability to neutralize damaging free radicals. It also bolsters the skins UV defence protecting it from sun damage.

Vitamin C – the vitamin C in Rosehip oil brightens the skin by improving the appearance of pigmentation and restoring the skin's natural colour.

How to use Rosehip oil

Apply it to damp, cleansed skin twice a day. It is light and easily absorbed, and does not leave an oily residue. Like a serum it is quite light, therefore you may apply your usual moisturizer on top.

Uses

• Acne scarring

• Wrinkles

• Pigmentation

• Stretch marks

• Sun damage

• Scars

• Dry skin

Rosehip oil can be used on the whole body and you only need a small amount. Although plant allergies are not very common, always perform a patch test on a small area of your skin. The oil can be used on acne scars, however, it may not be wise to use it on active acne breakouts.
