Prepare pupils for new curriculum, teachers told

Teachers have been urged to start preparing pupils towards the perceived new curriculum.

 Speaking at Kathiani Girls High School in Machakos County, Eductaion Deputy Director Mr Martin Orwa, who read the speech on behalf of the Education Minister said the Government has embarked on reviewing the 8-4-4 system.

 Orwa, who was accompanied by Kathiani MP Mr Robert Mbui also warned school heads against defying the  laid down fee structure, saying those caught will be charged.

Mbui asked Governor Dr Alfred Mutua, who he claimed had pledged Sh4.5 million for the school to honour his promise. The governor could not be reached for comment.
