Hip hip hooray! Hail discovery of ‘female Viagra’

Counties

Female viagra

Finally someone remembered that women also need their own Viagra! The magic pill goes by the name Addyi, nicknamed the ‘female Viagra’; it is the first drug to treat low sexual desire in women.

However, despite the good news, I am a bit offended that it took the great minds of the world over seventeen years to come up with something for women, yet men got their wonder drug way back in 1998.

This ‘late discovery’ goes on to prove the fact that women’s needs are never given first priority. It’s also annoying that the news has neither created a media buzz nor has it been received with the same enthusiasm as Viagra.

For those who may not know this, when women claim to have headaches, it is not all about them being manipulative like all men like to believe. Actually, at times, the headaches are real. When stressed and mistreated, women withdraw and the urge to have sex disappears completely.

I have heard and know of female friends, colleagues and relatives who have completely lost interest in sex, so much so that they do not mind sharing their men with second wives or mistresses so long as they maintain their positions as first/main wife.

To such women, the discovery of this wonder pill is great news. Perhaps, just perhaps we might stop denying you guys nooky, and coming up with what you call ‘funny excuses’ like, “I am not in the mood’ or fake headaches. However, it is almost as if women having a pill to treat low sexual desire is not newsworthy. There are men who see women as objects of desire. Some selfish ones even think women don’t have sexual needs -- that’s why once they ejaculate, they roll over and start snoring like tractors.

Selfish men

Most men seem to believe that women’s role in the bedroom is to be passive passengers cheering them on as they quench their thirst! Take the viral ‘Mollis clip’, in which a woman was being raped, for instance. I was so shocked that some people, especially men, found it hilarious.

Some men are extremely selfish. They force women to have sex with them, even when they are not in the mood, to prove their love. Some women would rather put their health in jeopardy by regularly using emergency pills or procure risky abortions, than deny their men sex or use protection.

Also, compare bridal showers and men’s stag nights. At bridal showers, among other things, women are taught how to please and treat men. But on the other hand, at stag nights, men dance, drink and have fun -- nothing to do with teachings on how to handle a woman in bed.

Explosive material

Men are assumed to be ‘naturals’. But to be honest, there are so many men who happen to be ‘useless’ in bed, unhygienic and hopeless at romance. But women are not allowed to make such comments. Yet when women are bad cooks, cleaners, or not good at home making, men raise a racket and shout about it from the rooftops.

It’s high time women said enough is enough, and demanded their rights in the bedroom. Women must be empowered to start negotiating for safe sex and demanding for great sex, without receiving ‘that look’ from men. I mean, why can’t a woman introduce a sex style in bed without being thought to be ‘nasty’?

Who said men have a monopoly on styles? Folks, now that we have this very explosive material, brace yourselves for a rough ride! Enough said. Bliss!!
