Chemelil Sugar bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Ushuru at Moi Stadium on Sunday.

The sugar millers have relocated their home matches to Kisumu and could not have hoped for a better start and cheered on by a huge crowd they gave it their all.

Meshack Karani scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute after a good play with Hassan Mwinyi.
In the second half, Ushuru upped their game in the second half with Moses Arita coming close in the 80th minute.

In another match, Mathare United thrashed Muhoroni Youth 3-0 in Sunday's Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match at Nyayo Stadium .

A goal each from Alfonce Ndonye, Emmanuel Ibe and Roy Syamba ensured United picked all three points and their biggest win of the season so far coming just a week after landing a major shirt sponsor.

Coming into the match, United had gone on a three match drought during which they had not picked even a single win in the league and the hunger from their front men was palpable as Syamba opened the scoring hardly two minutes into the match after being out through by Edwin Ombasa.

Six minutes after that, Muhoroni watched in disbelief as their chances to bounce back went begging, George Mandela shot over the bar and thus denied Muhoroni an opportunity to draw level.

The visitors paid dearly for that miss as United went ahead again in the 25th minute with the scorer Alfred Ndonye taking advantage of a loose ball in the Muhoroni goal mouth to double the lead.

Muhoroni defenders will blame themselves for not clearing the ball fast enough. The goal added more impetus in the United attack and they went to the break having squandered two other chances to extend their lead.

When the second half started, Muhoroni who have suffered a bad, run were the more urgent side creating several scoring opportunities from free kicks which they, however, failed to convert.

The biggest chance for Muhoroni came in the 69th minute but Jeremiah Wanjala cleared the ball from United's goal line.
