Man sees face of dead father in his unborn baby's pregnancy scan

People have seen Jesus in a slice of toast and the Virgin Mary on a grilled cheese sandwich, but Mark Wright's vision on his unborn baby's pregnancy scan has to be the eeriest yet.

The father-to-be was expecting to see the developing body of his daughter Amiyah but instead glimpsed the face of his dead father staring back at him.

His pregnant girlfriend Kimberley Wootton had been for a 22-week check-up when the ghostly image was captured on the monitor.

When the couple were showing the scan pictures to a friend they suddenly saw the eerie image of Mr Wright's late dad Chris, complete with his distinctive moustache.

Chris, a factory worker, tragically died of a heart attack aged just 31 in December 1992 when Mark was seven years old.

Kimberley went on to give birth to 5lb 7oz Amiyah on 28 August, 2013, and the couple were again struck by the close resemblance of the tot to her late grandfather.

Mark, 30, who is a carer in Nottigham, said: "It's like my dad is my guardian angel watching over us.

"I was only very young when my dad died which was hard to adjust to but I was absolutely shocked when I saw the image of his face in Amiyah's scan."
