Hotel forced to refund money after couple was kept awake all night by noisy lovers in the next room

UK: A tired couple were given a refund by Premier Inn after they were kept awake all night by noisy lovers in another room.

Kevin Truman and Jan Dear were unable to sleep due to the "primeval" sounds of pleasure coming through the walls of their £71 room.

They complained to the manager of the hotel, in Childer Thorton, Cheshire, the following morning who happily refunded their money straight away.

Kevin, 60, told The Sun: "The sounds the woman kept making were primeval and went on and on.

"At first we thought someone had turned up the TV too loud.

"But we soon cottoned on."

He'd booked the hotel, whose slogan in ads fronted by comedian Lenny Henry is 'A Great Night's Sleep Guaranteed', for a business trip.

Kevin said the hotel's manager refunded their money without any quibbling so "it really was satisfaction all around".

A Premier Inn spokesperson said: "If you don't get a good night's sleep you get your money back."
