Nigerian arrested with 42 pellets of narcotics at JKIA

Another Nigerian national was Monday night arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi while carrying pellets of narcotics in his anal system.

The man had inserted several pellets to his anal system when he was intercepted while on transit from Pakistan to Benin through JKIA, police said.

Police say he had by Tuesday morning, emitted 42 pellets of the drugs believed to be heroin. He is the second Nigerian to be arrested at the airport in less than three days while carrying narcotics.

Another Nigerian was on Saturday evening arrested at the airport with similar drugs and he had originated from Pakistan and was headed for Guinea.

Airport police commander Joseph Ole Tito said they believe the suspects were trafficking drugs from similar source.

The 31-year-old, who was arrested on Saturday and identified as Vincent Onyieka, appeared in court Monday and was remanded for three days. Police say he has so far emitted 30 pellets.
