KMA housing plan gets Sh740m boost

Kenya Medical Association (KMA) Housing Co-operative has received a Sh740 million development loan from Shelter Afrique, which it will use to put up 160 housing units in Mtwapa.

The funds, according to Shelter Afrique Acting Managing Director Yekini Olayanju, will co-finance the project, which is part of KMA’s housing plan.

“Our relationship with Kenya Medical Association dates back to the year 2000 when we first advanced a facility of $1.5 million (Sh130.5 million),” said Olayanju. The Sh740 million loan is the largest Shelter Afrique has advanced to a co-operative society.
