  Just can't get this. $50 per tonne tariff was intended to protect the industry from unfair competition from cheaper imports from India, China, Pakistan and Egypt.Why should Kenya have a product which is much more expensive than from India, China, Pakistan and Egypt? These are more developed countries than Kenya.
