Indeed, Prof Karani has not only played her role in the area of academic studies but also in the field of extra curriculum development. In the 1970s as we trained Scout Leaders at Rowallan Camp Nairobi, Prof Karani was always available to participate in sessions on voluntary basis. She played a key role in youth development program. May I therefore take this opportunity to congratulate Prof for a job well done and wish her well in the new position.
