Cecafa Group C teams have arrived in Mumias town and conducted light training at Mumias Sports Complex to have a feel of the facility ahead of the kick off on Sunday.
Defending champions Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Zanzibar trained on Saturday at the renovated stadium that will host the tournament.
Players and officials of the teams were in an upbeat mood during the training.
Hundreds of football fans thronged the stadium as early as 7am to watch the teams train.
Local security team led by Mumias District Commissioner, Samuel Laboso, said preparation for the opening ceremony had been finalised and would be officiated by Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
Burundi will battle it out with Zanzibar today in the opening match that kicks off at 2pm. Uganda will crane their necks against Tanzania at 4pm.
Football Kenya Limited, Nyanza branch, technical committee chairman, James Omondi, and Western chairman, Dan Musuku, who are co-ordinating the tournament said they had finalised preparation.
