Police in Kericho are looking for a woman who abandoned her physically challenged son in a hotel.
The incident at Kariorkor Hotel occurred last Sunday when the woman left the boy, four, pretending she was going to make a telephone call.
OCPD Peterson Maelo said a Good Samaritan brought the boy to the police station.
"The mother allegedly told the waiters she was going to make a call outside the hotel," he said.
Police officers at the station have been taking care of the boy.
The officers bought blankets, clothes and food for the boy.
Kericho Deputy Children’s Officer Nathan Kyule said there were no charitable institutions in the district that could accommodate the boy.
