Kenya’s representatives to next year’s Zain Africa Challenge (ZAC) show have been picked after a gruelling knock-out tournament that brought together a record 19 universities.
The five, Jomo Kenyatta, Nazarene, Egerton, Kenya Methodist and Maseno universities were picked after a tournament that brought together 19 universities.
They will take on representatives from more than seven countries across East, Central and West Africa.
This year will also see the launch of the Francophone edition of ZAC.
The French programme will, however, only air in the Francophone countries.
Speaking at the close of the Kenya tournament, Zain-Kenya Managing Director Rene Meza lauded local varsities for displaying high standards and expressed optimism the trophy would return to Kenya next year.
