In Kilifi, a candidate gave birth to a baby girl soon after completing her day one exams.
Furaha Judah, a candidate from Fumbini Primary School, said she was optimistic she would pass.

The chief said cases of girls dropping out of school due to pregnancy were rampant in the area and urged parents to counsel their children.
Meanwhile, lack of transport has been blamed for delays to take KCPE examination papers to some schools in Bahari District.
Sources said some centres got the papers three hours after the official time and expressed fears the delay could affect performance.
At the same time, a head teacher of a primary school in Trans-Nzoia West District has been accused of sexually assaulting a candidate.
Teacher grilled
School committee members summoned the teacher and grilled him for hours after the girl reported the incident to her parents. The administrator denied the accusation.
The teacher reportedly asked the pupil to remain behind as others left allegedly to coach her on maths ahead of the papers.
The pupil alleged she declined his sexual advances and Sh200 the teacher offered to persuade her.
A committee member, who declined to be named, confirmed they had grilled the head teacher over the allegations.
"It is true we summoned and investigated the head but the girl’s parent refused to pursue the matter after apparently being compromised," the source said.
