ICC could soon give go ahead on Kenya’s case

Former President Daniel Moi has urged leaders to stop inviting foreigners to solve internal problems.
Although he did not mention ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo by name, Moi said it was a shame for Kenya to wash its dirty linen before guests.
He called on leaders and wananchi to preach peace and shun tribalism.
Ocampo left the country on Saturday promising to make Kenya an international example in fighting impunity.
Moi was speaking at Kasarani, Nairobi, where he presided over a harambee towards African Inland Church, National Prayer Conference Centre.
The former president called on religious leaders to preach peace and Kenyans to seek God to ensure the country does not slide back into disarray.
"God’s peace surpasses all understanding. Let Kenyans repent for true peace. Outsiders cannot bring us peace," said Moi.
Ocampo, who has stated he considered the atrocities committed in Kenya crimes against humanity, said he has solid evidence based on the Waki Report and other international reports.
Strong case
"I think I have a strong case because the Waki Commission did a good report, and there are other reports from the UN and human rights groups," he said.
Meanwhile, Kangundo MP Johnstone Muthama has told off Rift Valley ODM MPs William Ruto and Franklin Bett over the place of trial of post-election violence perpetrators.
Mr Muthama also faulted President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga on their indecision as to whether the post-election violence perpetrators should be tried locally or at The Hague.
"Kenyans have decided that the perpetrators should be tried at The Hague," the Kangundo MP said.
Muthama was speaking when he attended a fundraising at Africa Inland Church, Sangani at Tala in Kangundo, on Sunday.
He said there should be no mercy for politicians who organised the killing of Kenyans.
