Businesswoman Joyce Akinyi is saved and has forgiven her detractors.

She made the announcement at Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s Jesus is Alive Ministries church in Nairobi, on Sunday. Ms Akinyi confessed to the congregation she had planned to kill her former husband, Antony Chinedu but is now saved.

"Now I have seen the light of God," she declared.

She said she would be baptised soon. Akinyi said she got saved last week, but decided to announce it on Sunday.

Mungiki leader

The church is the same one where Mungiki leader Maina Njenga announced he had abandoned the illegal movement and got saved.

Njenga, who was present at the church on Sunday, asked his followers to follow him to the church.

Wanjiru said she looked forward to reconcile Akinyi and her enemies, including Chinedu.
