The decision by the US to impose travel bans on senior Government officials for blocking reforms is commendable. The need for reforms cannot be over-emphasised and nobody should scuttle the process and get away with it.
The US should name the individuals banned to avoid speculation. Kenyans deserve the right to know who the anti-reformists are.
Philip Mbindyo, Sawagongo.

It is commendable that the US has finally moved into action to make good its threats to ban those who are against reforms from stepping on their territory. These are the very people blamed for impunity and graft in our nation.
It is outrageous only foreigners, and not our elected leaders, seem to have Kenyans’ best interests at heart. It is a serious indictment of President Kibaki’s leadership.

Edwin Mulochi, Nairobi.

Kenyans must now wake up and say no to moves that do not improve our national institutions.

But what Kenyans need is fundamental, genuine and lasting reforms.
Mary Wanderi, Nakuru.
