Black Tie gala: getting it right

Boy, is it hot! Worse for you if your work atmosphere demands that you are in formal wear — suit and tie. But not to worry, the good old Kaunda suit comes to the rescue.
Kaunda suits conjure memories of middle-aged men who have undying love for this trend popularised by a statesman
True, Kaunda suits conjure memories of middle-aged men who have undying love for this trend popularised by a statesman.
But as Eric Odoyo, a fashion trends expert says, the Kaunda suit has been reinvented to fit the modern man and younger men are now embracing it.
"It is designed in woollen material and the pants do not have pleats to suit the modern hip look. Due to its style, the suit is attracting younger guys," says Adoyo.
The beauty of the Kaunda suit is that the jacket is short-sleeved and designed to be worn without a tie, making it cool and comfortable.
"Consider wearing a short-sleeved shirt or T-shirt," advises Adoyo.
Also, the Kaunda suit is suitable for both casual and official wear. It comes in different colours and you will be at liberty to choose what works for you. Be sure to coordinate the colours. A dark suit should go with a bright-coloured shirt and vice versa.
