Zambian First Lady Thandiwe Banda is in Malindi for a three-day holiday.

The charter carrying Thandiwe, wife to Zambia‘s fourth president Rupiah Banda jetted into Malindi Airport on Wednesday.

The First Lady was from the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and will be staying at the luxurious Hemingway Hotel.

However, efforts by journalists to interview or take pictures of Thandiwe were futile. Coast PC Ernest Munyi directed Malindi DC, Arthur Mugira, not to allow journalists to interview the First Lady saying she was on a private visit.
