Bandari Swim Club conquered their opponents during the Sprints and Relays championships organised by the Coast Swim Club.

The gala was held at Oshwal Academy, Nyali, and attracted over 200 swimmers drawn from clubs in Mombasa. Sisters Sylvia and Maria Brunlehner of Bandari Swim Club were the daring of the crowd as they easily won their races with big gaps.
In the girls’ 15 and over 100m individual medley, Sylvia upset Rachita Shah of Blue Ocean Swim club.
She won the event after timing 1.14.10 with Rachita coming second with a time of 1.15.58. Anham Salyani of Blue Ocean Swim Club was third after clocking 1.21.35.
In the girls’ eight years and under 100m individual medley, Maria of Bandari Swim Club timed 1.48.78 to win the event. Juliet McReed of Bandari and Urvi Dayal of Blue Ocean Swim Club clockd 2.04.67 and 2.09.59.
Maria went ahead to win the girls’ 7/8 years 25m breaststroke with a time of 22.81 second while Juliet McReed timing 25.00 seconds for the second slot. Sakina Mohammed of Bandari Swim Club was third with a time of 30.09 seconds.
In the boys’ 9/10m individual medley, Salman Hasham of Dolphins Swim Club was the winner with a time of 1.35.34. Jack McReed of Bandari and Murtaza Burhanuddin of Jaffery Academy, Mombasa, clocked 1.37.60 and 1.39.22.
