SMEs welcome Safaricom’s high-speed Internet

Safaricom has launched its high-speed Internet in Kakamega town. Dubbed, Fibre for Business, it targets Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

The Internet is delivered through fibre technology, which has unlimited bandwidth capabilities and offers the fastest high-speed data connectivity.

Kakamega becomes the eighth town to benefit from the new service after Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Malindi, Machakos and Nanyuki towns.

Safaricom Head of SME Sales and Enterprise Regional Operations Agnes Gathaiya said at the launch fibre optic Internet is becoming extremely critical as businesses move more services to the cloud to enhance business growth and productivity.

“With fibre for business, we are offering SMEs a tool and an opportunity to access fast, reliable internet that will effectively enhance business operations. Businesses that have embraced technology continue to gain a competitive edge and we encourage all SMEs to take advantage of this opportunity.”
