Kenyans to pay more for alcoholic beverages in new tax rates

 

NAIROBI, KENYA: Kenyans will have to pay more for beer and spirits following revision of prices by key brewers in the country.

In an advertisement, Kenya Breweries Limited announced new retail prices of brands such as Guiness, White cap, Balozi, Allsopps and Pilsner Lager.

Retail price for 500ML pilsner and Tusker larger is now Sh140 while Allsopps and Balozi both 500m will retail at Sh110 and Sh 130 respectively.

“Following the newly gazetted excise tax rates for alcoholic beverages, we have new recommended retail prices effective Dec 1,” said Kenya Breweries Limited.
