Stop soiling our name over ‘fake’ HIV list— Leader

Bloggers and social media users recently had a field day after a female student allegedly from a local university posted a list of men she had infected with HIV.

The list of 104 students was allegedly published on the walls of one of the male hostels. The woman is reportedly a second year student.

Attempts by Campus Vibe to speak to the female student failed, as the contact we were given went unanswered before being switched off. The university Student’s Chairperson Jared Mogire told Campus Vibe that: “The scare was an attempt to taint the name of our university as we await first years students next month.”

Mogire said the Ministry of Health had not tested any student to confirm the allegation, and that the administration was investigating the rumour.
