Tips to help you restore damaged hair

Having damaged hair is stressful luckily there is something you can do to fix it. Here are some tips to help you deal with damaged hair.

Trim.

Trim your hair especially if you have split ends this will help restore body to your hair.

Avoid heat.

Try and avoid blow drying your hair as heat damages your hair. Instead use rollers or wrapping to dry your hair. 

Do not use chemicals

Do not dye damaged hair or process your hair with chemicals as this causes further damage and leads to hair breakage and hair loss.

Hair products

Use shampoos and conditioners made with natural oils. This will help repair damaged hair by restoring moisture to it.

Treat your hair with oil.

Use natural oils such as olive oil to moisturize your hair. Apply the oil into your hair and leave it for about 20 minutes before washing it out.

Don’t wash

Avoid washing your hair too often as this dries it out. Wash your hair at least twice a week. Also, apply a little baking soda to your roots to absorb the hair oils.

Don’t use hot water

Washing your hair with hot water damages it more. Instead use cold water which leaves your hair shafts open and makes your hair shinny.

Avoid chlorine

Ensure you wear a swimming cap every time you go swimming as chlorine wreaks havoc on hair.

Your diet.

Eat foods reach in Omega 3 as well as fruits and vegetables like kales and avocados.
