Singer Marya has finally come out to defend her one-month old relationship with new beau, Kevin Mutisya.
This was provoked by a statement posted by Nairobi Senator Gideon Sonko’s daughter Salma Mbuvi accusing Marya of being a home wrecker.
“@its_maryakenya can date a married man, it is so embarrassing. These people preach things that they don’t do and yes @iamkevooh is married to my aunt. @its_maryakenya, don’t let that man fool you and if you know what is good for you, do the right thing before things go bad for you. I am one person who is not afraid of anything or anyone. I speak out what I feel and what I think is right,” read Salma’s post on Instagram.
Speaking exclusively to Heads Up, Marya, claimed that her man divorced the said woman.
“He was married, but he is divorced. I think she (Salma) didn’t know about the divorce. He does not have any children as people are speculating. People don’t know the whole story,” Marya told Heads Up.
Kevin, who was allegedly married to Sonko’s relative for three years, also defended Marya, claiming that she did not separate them.
“It’s true I was married, but we separated and divorced legally in a very mature manner. People think I’m still married because I have not updated my status, but our close family members are aware of this. Salma did not seek out the truth,” Kevin told Heads Up.
