A man accused of stalking his girlfriend and allegedly breaking her hand has been arraigned in court.
Meshack Maina, a city taxi driver was charged with injuring Rose Nyambura who was heading to Murang’a for a birthday party.
It is reported that on February 15, Nyambura, who was in the company of other male friends, noticed a vehicle was following them. When they stopped, Maina together with other men not in court allegedly alighted and attacked her.
The court heard that Maina dragged her aside demanding to know who her male friends were. Later, it is alleged that Maina forced Nyambura into his car and drove off.
Angered, Nyambura attempted to escape, but Maina reportedly grabbed her left hand and fractured it. She reported the matter to police who arrested the accused. He denied the charges and was set free on cash bail of Sh100,000.
