Daley Blind speaks about Manchester United

Daley Blind believes he has improved as a player since joining Manchester United last summer, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The Dutchman ended a 16-year association with Ajax to move to Old Trafford in August as Louis van Gaal drafted in a trusted star of his World Cup squad.

But the start of Blind's Reds career was disrupted by injury, with a knee problem keeping him out of the XI between November and January.

The 25-year-old has come back in style, however, evidencing his versatility by switching from midfield to left-back for the recent wins over Tottenham and Liverpool.

And he believes that the pace of the Premier League has forced him to step up.

"In the Premier League, you have to grow," he said.

"I noticed that the rhythm of the game is much higher. The games just went much faster than in the Netherlands. That comes in handy for me in the Dutch national team, and also in my career.

"When you develop yourself, you can become a more complete player and that's what I want - to get better every day, to learn little things; and these should naturally be reflected in the game."
