Speaker Muturi suspends PAC operations, orders probe into corruption allegations

NAIROBI: Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi Thursday ordered for investigations into corruption allegations within the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Muturi also suspended the operations of the Ababu Namwamba-led committee for the period of the inquiry and expects a report within 21 days.

The speaker appointed Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi (Kanu) to lead the probe and asked MPs to submit all evidence.

Ababu survived an ouster bid last week over corruption allegations.
