Sex-craved Siaya cop clobbered silly, gets his wife stabbed

Counties

Police officer

Drama unfolded at Usenge market, Siaya County on Friday after an alleged randy police officer got his wife stabbed by his lover, and himself clobbered by irate residents who accused him of seducing and even bedding other people’s wives in the locale.

The angry residents descended on the police officer and beat him up in a backstreet drinking den in the market, urging him to learn to zip up. According to an eye witness who sought anonymity, the drunken cop was in the company of a female companion, believed to be his wife, when another woman suspected to be his lover, seething with rage, stormed the den, and stabbed his partner with a knife.

“The policeman’s wife was stabbed as he watched in shock. The puzzled officer jerked from his seat, and rushed outside with blood stained clothes,” the witness told Crazy Monday.

This, he says, attracted members of the public who demanded to know why he was escaping, yet his wife had been stabbed.

“I don’t know why she stabbed her, and I have never slept with somebody’s wife,” pleaded the officer after locals demanded to know why he was slipping away yet the woman he was with had been attacked.

A mob of angry residents descended on him with kicks and blows, claiming he had been sleeping with their wives. And that his philandering ways had caused his wife to be stabbed by a lover who felt shortchanged.

Meanwhile, the cop’s injured wife was rushed to Got-Agulu Sub-District Hospital where she was treated and discharged.

The same officer had earlier on been caught sneaking out of a woman’s house in the town, a source told Crazy Monday. This was after the woman’s husband made an unexpected return, forcing him to sneak out of the house through the bedroom window. And in yet another incident, the very cop was caught tiptoeing behind a woman’s house, armed with a panga with which it is believed he wanted to threaten her before forcing her into having sex with him.

The incident comes in the wake of residents’ demands for a complete overhaul of police officers at Usenge police station, accusing them of incessant harassment, extortion and sexually abusing women in the area.

“These policemen have been defiling minors and even sleeping with women detained in the police cells,” said a resident adding that no police officer has ever been arrested and prosecuted.

According to Bondo Deputy County Commissioner Samsom Diero Akatch, any police officer who will be found to have committed such offenses will be dealt with accordingly.

He said, “We cannot have irresponsible security officers who instead of protecting citizens, they are busy drinking, gambling and even sleeping with people’s wives.”
