Is there trouble in paradise for Gor official Naima Aketch aka 'Ferrari'

Gor Mahia's Deputy Secretary General Naima Aketch 'Ferrari' (pictured ringt) has of late been hogging sports airtime and space.

The K'Ogalo power girl who last year was headline news for landing a hot slap on Caroline Kisero is now rumoured to have separated from her husband.

Some family friends claimed that Dan Oketch (pictured left), Ferrari's husband, was no longer living in their matrimonial home and was even preparing to file for a divorce.

When The Nairobian attempted to reach Ferrari, whose story, 'Love Brewed in The Stands' ran in The Nairobian (April 5-11, 2013), she asked that she be given a break.

"I stopped trending in 2014. Get something else to do," she told The Nairobian.

"I'm not even a senator, so what if I become a Governor, what will you write? Why are you on my case this much? I am not going to deny or confirm the allegations. You can call my husband and ask him, maybe he has a story for you," fumed the Gor Mahia's Ferrari.

When contacted, Dan was quick to play down the allegations, saying they were just rumours. He denied he moved out of the house, and informed The Nairobian that had he actually woke from his bed that morning.

"I am a late night person, and nobody monitors when I go in and out of the house. I live there. It's my house and I always look forward to going home," said Dan.

"I was there this morning and the day I am alleged to have divorced my wife," added Dan.

Dan claimed that the rumours started after his wife allegedly changed her Facebook profile picture in which she was flaunting her wedding ring.

Dan claimed that things were blown out of proportion because of Ferrari's high profile position at Gor.

"If you have a small difference in opinion with your wife, should it be reported as divorce?" wondered Dan.

Dan met the former 'K'Ogalo diva' at a Gor Mahia funds drive. He proposed to her at the Nyayo National Stadium during the K'Ogalo match against Ulinzi Stars, and tied the knot during an all-important derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
