Airtel boosts e-learning with free internet

Airtel is providing free data connectivity to Sigweng Karuoth Primary School in Siaya County, as part of its efforts to give students and teachers the opportunity to access unlimited information to broaden their learning. The move will see students and teachers from the institution receive free 24-hour Internet access.

Airtel Kenya Chief Executive Adil El Youssefi said the project will continue to reach more schools as they seek to enhance education through the integration of Airtel’s Internet technology.

Institutions accessing free learning materials online, courtesy of Airtel, include Muthei Primary School and Machakos Baptist School in Machakos County, Thuguma Children and Youth Empowerment Centre, Nyeri County, Gitugi girls High School from Murang’a County and Kayole Police Station in Nairobi.
