Next-gen elevators to move sideways

As the years go by, science endeavours to transform old technologies into wonders with the aim of making them more appropriate and desirable. The next–generation elevator designed by ThyssenKrupp, a German tech company.

Unlike the typical lifts, ThyssenKrupp elevator dubbed MULTI will be able to utilise magnetic levitation technology to move, instead of ropes and cables. Because of the magnetic motors used, the cutting edge elevator will be able to travel side-to-side as well as up and down. Plans are already underway to install a MULTI prototype inside a tower that is being constructed in Germany. It will be up and running in two years.
