Seven year old boy battered, strangled and thrown into quarry by stepmother

China: A little boy thrown into a pit after being beaten and strangled by his evil stepmother has been found alive three days later.

Seven-year-old Jen was left to die by wicked Ting Liang, 30, who planned to get revenge on ex-hubby Gang Jian, 40, after he filed for divorce.

She told teachers at the boy's school she had to take Jen to the doctors - but instead led him across town in Fengan County in southwest China’s Guishou province to a deserted coal pit.

There, she attacked him, kicking him, pelting him with bricks and stones and strangling him with her scarf.

When the boy fell unconscious she threw him into a pit and left him thinking he was dead.

Jen’s dad Gang said: "She had always seemed to like and get on with Jen.

"But she and I had problems and I realised that we wouldn’t be able to reconcile them.

"When I told her I wanted a divorce she went deathly silent and just left the house.

"I had no idea she was planning or capable of doing something like this."

When Jen failed to return from school, Gang immediately phoned the police.

A police spokesman said: "The school director told us that Jen’s step mother had collected him from school and when we questioned her about it she initially denied it.

"But we showed her CCTV footage of her walking with the boy and then she confessed."

The battered and dehydrated boy was found three days later still alive. The woman now faces 15 years jail for abduction and attempted murder.
