Juan Mata apologises to Man United fans for United's 5-3 defeat by Leicester City

Juan Mata has apologised to Manchester United fans after their 5-3 defeat against Leicester

United's defeat was the first time they had lost after conceding five goals in a Premier League match since 2011 and left them wallowing in 12th place in the Premier League table.

Mata who was left helpless in attack as Leicester wrapped up the win, said United's performances would improve.

Mata used on his blog to issue an apology to United's followers this morning.

He wrote: 'There is time during the week to analyse what happened and learn from our mistakes so as not to make them again.
