Victor Wanyama late strike win it for Saints as Southampton beats 10-man Swansea 1-0

Southampton continued their impressive start to the season with a win against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

A Victor Wanyama goal arrived in the 80th minute following a period of sustained pressure, but the real turning point in the game came when Wilfried Bony was sent off before half-time.

The striker was dismissed for two bookable offences and for the rest of the match, it appeared as though a draw was the best the home side could hope for.

But with just ten minutes left in the game, Victor Wanyama got the goal the Saints had been searching for, slamming the ball into the net past the hand of Lukasz Fabianski.

The win ensures Southampton's impressive start to the season continues, while it's now back-to-back defeats for Swansea.
