571 KCSE and KCPE candidates to miss exams over fee arrears

Kenya: 571 candidates of Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will not sit this year’s national examination after their registration centres failed to clear fee balances before September 15 deadline.

The candidates’ were also suppressed from KNEC registration data base. The affected 118 KCPE candidates are from 10 examination centres while the 453 KCSE candidates are from nine examination centres.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, KNEC Chief Executive Joseph Kivilu said they had informed the affected centres about the outstanding examination fee balances and advised them to pay or submit proof of payment and but no response has been received to date.

He added that the the council will administer examination to 1, 0004 candidates from South Sudan.

“Kauda Model Primary 1 will host 507 candidates while another 497 will be hosted at Kauda Primary School Model Two, both in South Sudan’’, Kivilu said
