Over weight woman 'broke into neighbour's home and raped him as he slept'

Seattle, USA:  Seattle Police say DNA evidence links Chantae Gilman to the attack on a 31-year-old man in June 2013 where the victim was held down and told to be quiet.

A 17-stone woman is accused of breaking into her neighbour’s house and raping him while he slept.

Chantae Gilman is accused of creeping into her neighbour’s Seattle home, climbing on top of the 31-year-old and forcing him to have having sex.

Police documents claim the man, who had crashed out in bed at his home after a party, said he woke up to find 26-year-old Gilman on top of him.

It is claimed he demanded she get off him, but when she refused he was forced to wriggle free from under her.

Court documents reportedly show the victim was held down in the attack, while Gilman told him to be quiet.

The attack is alleged to have happened in June last year, and the victim went to police. DNA taken from him is said to have linked Gilman to the crime.

Detective Drew Fowler, Seattle Police Department, said: “From a statistical standpoint, yes, it is atypical to have a female aggressor.

“But we work to hold all people responsible for their actions. The law is specifically written to be gender-equitable and we will charge anybody with a crime that they've committed.”

Gilman told police she didn't remember the incident and that she suffers from a mental illness and bipolar disorder.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for pregnant mum-of-four Gilman, who is due to appear in court on Monday September 22.
