Four-year-old boy killed as carjackers drive off with his foot stuck in seatbelt

Johannesburg, South Africa:  Taegrin Morris was dragged to his death behind the VW Golf, which was stolen from his mother Chantel at gunpoint.

A boy of four died when carjackers drove off with his foot stuck in a seatbelt.

Taegrin Morris was dragged to his death behind the VW Golf, which was stolen from his mother Chantel at gunpoint.

She pleaded with the robbers: “Take everything but let me take my child.”

But the gang of three drove off as she chased after the car with passers-by.

Chantel said: “Taegrin kept saying, ‘Mummy, Mummy, please help me.’

“Then they ripped him from my hands.”

The car was found abandoned with Taegrin body’s still attached to the belt.

South African police have offered a reward for help in catching the hijackers, who struck in Johannesburg on Saturday night.

One suspect handed himself in yesterday.
