Thika, Kenya: Another set of twins has made history at Mary Hill Girls’ High School, a national school based in Thika, after scoring mean grades of A and A- (minus) respectively.

Matlda Bosibori and Luycer Nyanchama are identical twins and turned 18 years last Sunday, just a day before last year’s KCSE results were released.

According to school principal Imelda Barasa, the twins are inseparable and want to pursue a degree in financial engineering and at the same university.

The top performers are the daughters of Prof Joseph Bosire, who is the deputy vice chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University. Their mother Mary Bosire is a lecturer at the faculty of Commerce at Egerton University.

“We attribute our success to the strong believe in God, faith in ourselves, devotion and hard work. We also owe our good performance to our parents and teachers who have been very supportive on our academic journey,” said Bosibori who scored a mean grade of A.

The twins who are the last borns in a family of seven confess to always not being happy whenever they are separated.

“Mathematics and business studies are our favourite subjects and we want to be among the first financial engineers in the country since it is a relatively new course,” Nyanchama said.

Yesterday, The Standard reported how identical twins Brenda Kinya Kaaria and Linda Gatwiri confounded their former classmates and the entire Tharaka Nithi County by jointly leading the pack in the KCSE examination. The identical twins both attained an A- grade of 82 points.
