Autopsy: Raphael Tuju wife’s lover Tony Ogunda died of head injury

NAIROBI, KENYA: The mystery over the death of Raphael Tuju wife’s lover Tony Ogunda deepened after an autopsy conducted on his body revealed that he died of head  injury.

Ogunda’s lawyer Cliff Ombeta said on Wednesday that his deceased client suffered trauma to the head consistent with blunt force.

A postmortem conducted on Ogunda’s body by Government pathologists Peter Ndegwa and Johasen Oduor revealed injuries in the head and internal bleeding to the brain.

Further samples were taken for toxicological testing.

Ogunda was found dead on Tuesday in a friend’s house in Upper Hill area in Nairobi.

 A container and a syringe were found beside his body.

He was the man at the centre of the acrimonious divorce between former minister Tuju and his estranged wife Ruth Akinyi.
