The Gunners coach Wenger believes Wanyama will fit into the scheme perfectly-serving as an ideal replacement to Song who made way to Barca

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Kenya and Celtic FC combative midfielder Victor Wanyama.

According to Arsenal News, Celtic value Wanyama at £10 million, and Arsenal must out-bid other premier league powerhouses among them Manchester United if they are to sign the Kenyan international.

The Gunners coach Arsene Wenger believes Wanyama will fit into the Arsenal scheme perfectly-serving as an ideal replacement to Alex Song who made way to Barcelona this past summer.

Arsenal are also currently preparing a £8 million deal for Wigan Athletic’s, James McCarthy.  The Ireland international is heavily touted at the Emirates after his quite impressive first half of the Premier League season for the Lactics.

Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson has been a great admirer of the Kenyan and on several occasion has sent United’s chief European scout Martin Ferguson to watch the player.
