Leave top seat for Uhuru, Mudavadi told

Kaloleni MP Kazungu Kambi has said Deputy Prime Musalia Mudavadi should be content with being Majority Leader in the Jubilee Alliance.

“Let our brother Musalia Mudavadi accept the seat of Majority Leader,” said the MP yesterday, adding that leaders in the new alliance should not feel entitled to any seat.

Garsen MP Danson Mungatana said Coast voters should support the three leaders because “these are the people who will form the next government”.

Addressing pastors in Kaloleni Wednesday, Kambi, who is also the Medical Services Assistant minister, said Mudavadi’s time will come.

The Kaloleni MP said Majority Leader is a good option for the Sabatia MP, who signed a pre-election pact with Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA and William Ruto’s URP early last week.

Claims that the DPM is the designated presidential candidate for the Jubilee Alliance has rattled legislators from Central Kenya allied to Uhuru.

Meanwhile, presidential aspirant Cyrus Jirongo says his bid to succeed President Kibaki should not be underrated.

Jirongo predicted that he will in the end be the only presidential candidate from Western region since the other candidates, Mudavadi and Trade Minister Moses Wetangula, had been swallowed by bigger parties.
