Mourners pay last respects to Magugu

Mourners eulogised former Cabinet Minister Arthur Magugu who was laid to rest on Friday  as a diligent, honest and workaholic leader.

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Kanu chairman Gideon Moi relayed President Kibaki and former President Daniel Moi’s messages.

Kibaki termed Magugu as a man of few words but lots of action and will be remembered for his dedication and generosity.

 “His death is a loss to the nation he served with dedication and enthusiasm. He was a pragmatic leader and a parliamentarian who performed his duties with diligence and was a source of motivation,” the message said.

Moi said Magugu’s death was not only a loss to the family but also the entire nation, adding that he was a passionate businessman and politician.

“He served Kenyans will dedications and always gave the best he could,” he said. Magugu died last Saturday after a long illness.
