It was just as good for us to have given a strike notice last week. Sweetheart and comrades have woken up to the fact that they had ignored our feelings for far too long.
They want to negotiate. Remember our main beef was their lack of taking our feelings into considerations. We got into constant quarrels because they never got to fully grasp what was in our minds.
Worries
You remember how it all starts. We need to tee off with friends, they want us to stay home and fix imaginary problems. At times we felt like ten-year-olds who can laugh loudly at a friend’s funeral or scream at a neighbour’s dog all because we could hardly identify with feelings inside us. We thank you for agreeing to play ball and ward off domestic calamity.
As we have said in the past, grooms have enough worries to occupy them for the better part of the day. The least we would want is to come home and find someone who hardly pays attention to our thoughts and feelings. We thank you for discarding that long list of your troubles that met us every evening. You have spared yourself the sight of a groom breaking down. Keep it up. We know you have been raised to believe that men are toughies. That is a fallacy. We get tired, stressed, and equally vulnerable to life’s immense pressure.
Kind gesture
How about asking us what you can do for us the moment we get home? That would be the perfect way for us to settle down and perhaps attend to your needs. Let us try walking this mature path and the home will also be quieter and calmer.
Sweetheart, stay clear of ‘friends’ who have no regard for their men’s feelings. They will have their reward in full. Keep these few points in mind and we shall have no business calling for grooms to strike.
