A man was on Thursday caught shoplifting at Clean-shelf supermarket in Kiambu branch.
The supermarket’s assistant manager Patrick Kathura said the suspect had stolen goods worth about Sh5, 000 when he was spotted by one of the staff.
Mr Patrick removed tooth pastes, soaps and deodorants the suspect had stash ed in his trouser (see picture).
The suspect was later handed over to police. Current estimates indicate that supermarkets are losing billions of
shillings to shoplifters and general theft.
